Mr. Wilford Teo Swee Cheng (Council Member) attended a Dialogue Session on Plastic and Environment chaired by Mr. Lim Kok Boon, the President of Malaysian Plastics Manufacturers Association (MPMA) at Hilton Hotel, Kuching.

Mr. Lim stressed that plastic bags have been used for decades, and without it, it would bring us a lot of inconvenience.

Mr. Lim suggested that the authorities concerned should focus more on creating awareness of the 3Rs (reduce, reuse and recycle) instead of banning the use of plastic bags.

Mr. Yeo Eng Hock, the Executive Secretary attended a Forum on Modernising Business Regulation organized by Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) at Pullman Hotel, Kuching. The purpose of this forum is to understand current business regulation framework and sharing best regulation practices which will reduce administrative and economic burdens on businesses.
